The Swedish truck manufacturer Scania will begin in April, with the competitions of its driver competition of young European truck driver 2012 (YETD). Until 31 March 2012, a registration is possible online on the Scania homepage. Join LKW-Fahrerinnen and driver with birthday may 1977 and younger.
The driver competition is held this year in 24 European countries and is the fifth of its kind in Europe since 2003. Worldwide, 39 countries participate in the competitions of Scania drivers. The young European truck driver competition at international level is supported by the EU, the IRU and the tyre manufacturer Michelin. To win, there is a tractor from Scanias R-series.
The following dates are already fixed:
1. Group stage: 21 to 22 April 2012 in Duisburg
2. Preliminary round: 5-6 may 2012 in Stuttgart
3. Group stage: 12 to 13 may in Berlin
4. Group stage: 2nd and 3rd June in Hamburg
German final: 16.bis June 17 in Koblenz
Europe final: 7 to 9 September in Sodertalje, Sweden (Sweden)
