New tracks for long trucks


Long trucks are allowed to drive on more and more routes.
The first amending Regulation to field trials with long truck is now available through the electronic Federal Gazette under http://www.bundesanzeiger.de/ via keyword search available. Over one hundred new routes and route extensions were reported by the participating States for inclusion in the track positive list.
Federal Transport Minister Peter Ramsauer (CSU) stressed the benefits resulting from the expansion of the route network for companies: "Often expressed problems with the last mile can be solved by the extension of the network." "The cumbersome for many companies to teach of the combinations will be often no longer necessary."
Among other things, port of Hamburg is now accessible for long truck. The Minister of transport was on the occasion of the publication of the new positive list again for participating in field trials: "it is now increasingly on the field test to the company, to take part!"
First experience of participating companies showed that the expectations of savings were partly significantly exceeded. The list of the approved lines to be updated on a regular basis according to the BMVBS. (diwi)
